Feeling Raw

Two Slices of Sprouted Grain Bread, Raw Almond Butter and Cinnamon Coconut Oil with a glass of Green Goddess Smoothie.

My photography has been suffering this week due to bad weather , rain rain go away! :) If you've noticed lately I've been toying around with raw foods. For personal reasons I decided this week to eat only vegan and raw foods. Being that it was always my ultimate goal to become vegan when I went vegetarian I thought it was time to try it again. If you don't know already I suffer from hypoglycemia, like so many people, that my diet needs a constant good source of protein. That's where eggs and dairy come in...they are my blood sugar's staples and often saved me during dizzy spells. But lately I've been doing my research and my homework on good protein sources in a vegan/raw diet so I feel well prepared. Just to clarify I'm just eating this way for a week but after I will continue to incorporate vegan/raw foods with my other vegetarian meals. I'm not one to let go my beloved yogurt! Have a great day :) Whats your favorite raw breakfast?

i tend to eat mostly a vegetarian diet, kinda vegan-ish except for the exception of greek yogurt and honey...lol, not really vegan haha... i cant give up my beloved yogurt either nor honey, my favorite sweetener :)
hmm my fav raw breakfast, well since i eat oatmeal everyday, which isnt raw...i guess my fav raw snack is a lara bar haha idk, or i made a mini bowl of bircher muesli the other day for snack, so good! i would like to eat a raw diet but the winter months are too cold i need cooked foods to keep my body warm :)

i also have hypoglycemia, i try to get adequate protein on my vegetarian diet, i only eat dairy from yogurt and i have honey sometimes, besides that i eat a semi vegan diet. ? i suppose. i cant give up to a raw diet i love warming foods in this season, but perhaps summer and spring i would go raw, love raw food and recipes, so nourishing and pure.

so cool that you are trying to do a raw/vegan week but make sure to keep after yourself! amazing. :)

  4. For breakfast, I usually eat a bowl of oatmeal and some melon. I need something substantial in the morning. From then on, it's a lot of raw until dinner, when we usually eat a combination of cooked vegan/raw foods.

  5. Oh my goodness, I SAW that set of dishwear at TJMaxx! I wanted the bowl that said cereal/milk/fruit because thats my classic breakfast. Maybe I should go back and buy it. You've inspired me, Maggie!
