The Glow

Pumpkin Cardamom Maple Oats with Almond Butter

Nuzzled up in a plaid blanket on the warm wool carpet with a bowl of oats is my choice of relaxation before I hetic day. Or maybe its since everything is being packed up...probably the later but I like to pretend ;)
After reading Mitri's post about having a orange hue I noticed that each and every meal I have contains either pumpkin, sweet potatoes or carrots. Not to sound crazy but I think my palms are officially orange now...wow I guess I'm rockin' the glow!Today's plans include umm..packing..packing..eating..packing and umm more eating. When will it ever end, the packing part of course. Do you consume many of orange foods?

  2. yumm, as usual your breakfasts never fail to impress! these flavors sound wonderful :)

i definitely find myself eating more orange foods during Fall, and it is proven that eating large amounts of carotenoids can turn the pigment of your skin slightly orange. kind of crazy huh?

hope you have a great day!

  8. Hahaha this cracked me up. When my brother and I were little my parents made us take all kinds of crazy vitamins, ON TOP of our already healthy diet.

We took beta carotene supplements and ate A LOT of carrots and the kids at school always pointed out our ORANGE hands. so embarrassing. But now, I Love my carrots! And yummm your oats look so good. Maple+cardamon, gotta try that.

  9. Hi Maggie! I just found your blog :) I love your name. I also consume far too many orange foods, and I'm trying to cut back... but it's just so darn hard. I could live on steamed kabocha (Japanese pumpkin).

  11. Oh boy! Right now I do! They taste soo good!

Cardamom is awesome :D Have you ever tried grating carrots into your oats? There's this Indian dessert called Halwa can I made a bowl of oatmeal inspired by it : grated carrot, however you prepare your oats + raisins so they plump up, coconut oil, sugar, cardamom, almonds on top :)
