Kabocha does wonders

Kabocha Butter 50/50 Soaked Coconut Milk Oats with Hot Amazing Grass Chocolate Milk

Over the weekend I spent half of Saturday laying in bed confessing that I finally contracted the flu after one sick free year and I might as well give in to it. After a long nap and one email to a friend later, I came to my senses and decided to fight it, being that I'm moving in a few days I hardly have the time to sit around. So I took advantage of the time left in the day and nested myself on the couch with a bowl of warm garlic vegetables, a cup of hot lemon tea and a jug of Amazing Grass in arm's reach. After five hours of Project Runway reruns and way too much blog reading its safe to say I woke up this morning well rested and feeling ten times better. This morning I made myself a nourishing breakfast of overnight soaked coconut oats and some kabocha butter. I'd like to say that the kabocha always gives me super powers in the morning but the Grass could always be accredited also :) Hopefully by tomorrow I will be fully recovered...hopefully! So glad everyone enjoyed my last post. This week I've been feeling very in touch with my emotions and I feel I'm at a place where I can really be open with my readers. Thank you for all your wonderful support and beautifully written comments, I never take them for granite!

What do you eat to feel better?
Have a great Sunday!

love that you are feeling so in touch with your emotions lately, and opening up, it is so wonderful. and yes that post wow...it made me think and i really loved it :) love all your posts but loved that topic and idea.

to make me feel better i eat a nourishing yummy breakfast, oats of course, love to make it fun and creative and yummy, but a good ol' simple bowl of oat bran, hemp milk vanilla, and banana with walnuts and spices... always cheers me up! and coffee makes me happy too ;) but when i am sick or have a flu or cold i always crave cold refreshing things like froyo or green juice.

  6. I seriously eat oatmeal to make me feel better lol. Or a hearty soup. If it's the summertime I eat papaya.

Ahh 5 hours of Project Runway re-runs. I'm living vicariously through you. I actually refuse to have a TV because I think they're ugly. lol I feel like it's such a dumb reason because I LOVE tv shows.. well not all. But there are some I miss watching.

Ooo I like the way you get your superpowers. Actually, you already have them so would this breakfast make you.. ultra superwoman??? ;)
