Enters sugar snap peas and lime. Odd combination right? Not in this case. This Green Goddess Salad is made of a spring mix, cilantro, sugar snap peas, edamame and lime zest.
The lime zest and the snap peas balance the perfect sweet and sour flavor. Just a little lime juice on top of the cilantro and edamame brightens the whole salad and adds a cultural flavor.
Enters Coconut Oiled Sweet Potato Rounds with Nutmeg and Cayenne. Odd combination right? Strangely, no. The sweet but slightly bitter flavor of the nutmeg balances out the sweet starchy flavor of the sweet potatoes and the cayenne gives it a kick.

odd combos ahh, hmm i had a pistachio butter and carrot sammie with sprouts, and black pepper. quite odd, non? but like a savory nut butter sammie, and Futters nut butters are so savory to begin with..it was really good!
okay that's the best i could come up with lol...i am sure i have had odder but yummy things lately, just cant think :)

ReplyDeletelove the sound of that salad! odd combinations - i had sweet potato guacamole last night. i also really like the cucumber, carrot, and peanut combination - in a salad, stir fry - even a pb sandwich. :)
