A kid and monkey bread

Good morning! Today I made a bowl of regular oat bran but with a bit of goodies from the World Market. I always love picking up random seasonings and cookies from different countries there. I knew I had to use the cardamon and cashew milk that I bought in something for breakfast so the obvious choice was oats. Surprisingly it all came together quiet nicely...tasted like my dad's monkey bread recipe..hello YUM! When I was a child I grab a handful of the warm bread from the middle and mash it into donut ball shapes before I ate it. To be young again! Must make some...

Banana Split Oat Bran with Cardamom Cashew Milk

Not much to say today, just been battling out a strange stomach bug that I've had for a few days. I enjoyed a huge bowl of pumpkin frozen yogurt from a local shop right before I got sick...maybe it caused it? All I've been able to eat is oats, kabocha and chocolate chip cranberry cookies...can't complain though! When I'm sick I crave the foods I ate as a kid...like warm, natural and sweet things. What do you eat when you have the flu?

I'm feeling quiet ill again so a few inspiring things before I go back to sleep...
Currently loving: This video, this necklace, this recipe, and the idea of "My Breakfast Shop". More details later this week!

Oh before I forget, does anyone have a guava fruit recipes? I found out that the tree in my yard wasn't pomegranate it was an guava..never tried one before! Maybe preserves? And please check out Katie's Chocolate Giveaway! Hugs.

  4. Wow yum! That sounds so good. World Market has so many enticing things. The only time I've been I got ginger syrup by the Ginger People :D It's soo good and dear to me ;)

As for guava you should try to make guava and cheese pastries. You can actually look it up on my blog - I used wonton wrappers instead of making dough because I was too lazy ;)
