Role Models and Chocolate

Chocolate Chunk Cinnamon Flax Pancake with Sweetened Pumpkin Puree and Chocolate Chips

Good morning everyone! Whatever came over me yesterday to chop up some dark chocolate and put it in my pancake...obviously it was a great idea. So far I've tried the espresso and the orange chocolate bars from Newman's Own and they were delicious. But by far this was my favorite, who doesn't love a super dark chocolate? I love it bitter and rich! Whats your favorite kind of chocolate?

Hope everyone enjoyed Heather's awesome recipe and tips on living a healthy lifestyle! To all my readers, I always want to make sure I preach that although my food might look simple or small it doesn't mean I deprive myself one bit. I've received several emails saying that I have helped one's learn how much they should eat and serve as an inspiration. And I really do need to address that usually what's not seen is a brown rice protein shake or an egg omelet behind the camera also. I feel as a women, sister, daughter, blogger, what have you, that being a healthy role model is most important to me and I want to continue to be one. At times I want my readers to focus on the art and creativity of my food choices so it may look simplistic but the next time you see just a cookie for breakfast think twice :) Thank you to all my readers for their continual lovely comments and support! Have a good Tuesday.

loved heathers post it was great!
and being a healthy role model is so great too! i love when i get an email or message saying how ive inspired them! it makes me feel so great, for such a long time, like in treatment i was always looked at as a "bad patient" lol..not too funny, but yeah, i wasnt very motivated to get well, BUT now with my blog, getting mail from girls saying that when they were strggling in their eating disorder, my blog helped them...it just makes me want to keep going! i never would have thought i'd be looked at as a role model or inspiration in my recovery! :)

  2. Here's my favorite chocolate - the darker and higher the cacao content, the better:

  7. Ooo I enjoyed the orange dark chocolate as well. I use to not like dark chocolate, but it's growing on me. I'd have to say my favorite kinds are this one line of chocolate: Theo 3400 Phinney bars. They have flavors like coconut curry milk chocolate, chai milk chocolate, and bread and chocolate dark chocolate - SO GOOD!

I am the same way. I don't photograph everything I eat because I think about composition and such :) Besides.. sometimes the things I eat aren't too interesting lol. I hope all is well in your corner of the world!

  10. Your pancake looks and sounds delish! I'm dairy intolerant so dark is my only option and glad I am too the darker the better. People say dark chocolate is better because you eat less if its rich, not so for me I could eat dark chocolate all day long!

    Love this post x x
