Baked Blueberry Oatmeal

Mitri's Baked Blueberry Oatmeal with Greek Yogurt and Pear Slices

Putting together this recipe I was hesitant because it called for real ingredients. No egg, milk or sugar substitutes here just the real thing! But once my whole place smelled like an bakery my fears were put to rest. Eating it right out of the oven yesterday was amazing. I forgot how much real ingredients adds to the flavors..this could be sold in a cafe! Without giving out Mitris family's beautiful recipe I will say that the blueberries, brown sugar and lemon all respectfully compliment each other. It also helps that the lemon tree outside provided the best citrus flavor ever :) Mitri I'm really honored to have been able to try your family's blueberry oatmeal, thank you!

PS: 1. Pretty good guesses everyone!! 2.One more slot open for reader's choice week! Thanks to everyone who is participating..more surprises ahead! 3. This necklace will be listed for one more day. Don't miss out! 4. Updated "The Arts" and "Recipe" pages! 5. Last chance on this headband! Love ya.

  9. Mitri's recipes are the best! I made her mom's baked ziti once and it was to die for. Real ingredients do add SO much flavor. It makes the scent of things even more heavenly. I love the flowers :D I made a peach upside-down cake for my best friend's birthday once and I garnished it with fresh daisies :D

  14. I've been trying to dabble more in real ingredients as well... it's still a bit scary, but they really DO add much more to a dish than their substitutes.

That baked oatmeal looks delicious :) Like a piece of pie.
