Brunch Style Fruit in Creamy Hemp Milk with Cinnamon Buckwheat Crispies
Hello! This morning I traded my ordinary Greek yogurt in for a little delicious raw breakfast bowl and am I glad I did! I threw together a recipe of sorts so you too can join me for Vegan Thursday tomorrow.

I used dehydrated buckwheat groats as my cereal but if you don't have a dehydrator don't worry..neither do I. Just soak groats overnight, rinse and place on a cookie sheet. Lay a loose paper towel on top and place outside in the sun for 8-9 hours. Take off paper towel for the last hour and allow to crisp up. Also putting it in the oven on the lowest setting works as well but make sure to move them around every hour. After your crispies are ready, in a bowl drizzle a bit of agave nectar on crispies and coat your favorite spice...aka cinnamon. Save extras in a reused glass tomato sauce jar, place wax paper on top and use a rubber band to secure. Last step optional, for aesthetics of course :)

Brunch Style Raw Breakfast Bowl
- 1/3 Cup Cinnamon Buckwheat Crispies
- 3/4 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Hemp Milk
- 1/2 Pear, Cubed
- 1 Small Banana, Sliced
- 2 Tbsp Flame Raisins
- 1 Tbsp Cashews, halves
- 1 Tbsp Pecans or Walnuts
Mix together. Have fun with different fruits and nuts, I'm sure dried apricots would be divine as well. Pour your favorite milk on top and enjoy! I'm finding that not only are raw breakfasts amazing in flavor but they are so quick and easy to make. Love that.
Some of you were asking for the angel food cake recipe and I'm actually coming up with a solid recipe right now. When I made the cake it was just a dash of this and that so making up measures is in the works! I found that a few my favorite saved recipes need ingredients so today I'm finally going grocery shopping. My fridge consists of a bag of brussels sprouts, leftover corn tortillas and a jug of kefir..not ideal for raw meals! Currently planning on making raw strawberry shortcake cookies, Thai cauliflower rice, banana pumpkin curry, and raw yellow dal.
I was thinking it would be great if I took pictures of my goodies bought later tonight. I don't know about you but I love to see what food people buy..I'm always that person peeking into other carts in line! Also to have some real midweek fun I'm going to buy one suggested product or spice from one reader who can guess the answer to this question..whats my favorite scent? Ohhh tough one! Off to start a little grocery list.
