French Fries and an Chocolate Shake

Vanilla Waffle Stripes with Spicy Dark Chocolate Avocado Pudding inspired by Eliza's play off my childhood memory of "French Fries and an Chocolate Shake".

I know the note says "french toast" but at the last minute I had to choose waffles over the later because I was rushed in time. Me, in a rush in the morning? Yeah long story short I woke up late. Sorry E! Don't be deterred though, the flavors were out of this world! I'd pick this raw pudding over an soy kind any day of the week. So delicious and of course every ingredient was good for me! The perfect nod to such a good memory. Have you ever made a modern version of your childhood favorite foods? :)

Spicy Dark Chocolate Avocado Pudding:

1/2 Avocado
1 Medjool Date, pitted and chopped
1 Tbsp Dark Cocoa Powder, or less for Cacao
1/2 tbsp Cinnamon
3 Tbsp Unsweetened Hemp Milk
Pinch of Cayenne
Agave Nectar to taste.
In a food processor blend together date, avocado and cocoa. Pulse and add hemp milk. When smooth add cinnamon, cayenne and agave to taste. Enjoy with your favorite pancake, waffle or toast recipe!

Please please please don't forget to enter my giveaway...Monday I will be announcing the winner! Still haven't decided how I will but I know it must be creative. Have any ideas? Alright well I'm off to start my day. xoxo Maggie

  12. Is there such thing a pity entry? For the poor deprived Canadian girl who must take a treacherous trip across the frozen tundra on her dogsled into a foreign land in the hopes of finding such treasures...;)

(Okay, so it's nowhere near cold here right now, and contrary to popular belief I do NOT own nor do I require a dogsled to get around...But I do still have to travel two hours to the Seattle Whole Foods to find most of those products.)
