Giving and Fashion

My personal belief has always been that during the holidays should not be the only time your compassionate, giving or loving of another person. Among other things I don't find the need to celebrate them. But I do believe good hearted gifts should be given year round. A few examples of such...

A gift to you:

"Love in Sicily" Red Bow Shirt Clip with Vintage Button and Dangling Gold Chain. Attached to an 1950's Tie Clip. Apart of My Breakfast Blog's Giveaway!

A gift to me:

Yes! I found pumpkin puree at a market on the outskirts of town. I probably looked like a crazy person with my big beaming smile when I noticed the last can while shopping for apple sauce. You don't even understand how excited I am...I thought I would have to wait till fall again for pumpkin oats!

Do you believe in giving all year round?

The other day Miss Maya gave me a little nudge towards posting a bit of my fashion as of lately. I have to be completely honest that I'm not one to post pictures of myself on my blog..I just feel it distracts away from my photography but it is after all reader's choice week soon..so a compromise had to be made!

So I guess this is my attempt to a fashion post of such. I've had some frustration towards jeans since none seem long enough, usually hit my ankles, so I've been wearing my American Apparel leggings to death. I love drapey things but I keep it feminine with vintage floral accents like my favorite gold jade necklace and with lightweight materials such as my paper thin white tunic. I also have been living in this target drape sweater..it feels like I'm wearing a robe all the time which is probably my favorite thing to wear ever! One of my favs for sale here. But that's a whole other post... :)

White Knit Moose Tunic with Open Back, American Apparel Leggings and Asphalt Crochet Headband made last winter.

I can't say my style stays in one genre though since some days its all Ashley O or other days its purely Zooey inspired. I suppose the connecting thread to each look would be my love for vintage and how I incorporate that with everyday inexpensive brands such as Target. I just wear what I love...only way I can describe it!
What would you call your style?

Well I'm off to test bake a little recipe a friend sent me for next week and get some errans done. I think carrot sushi and passionberry kombucha are in the near future..hmm. See you tomorrow and don't forget about the giveaway and reader's choice week! And my two shops were updated this morning. xoxo

  5. Oh my gosh, that red bow is adorable! I have so many bow things - it's not funny. Kinda like an addiction of mine. But what I don't have is a bow pin!! AHHHH I die!

I love love love your style sorta like mine. Mine is sort of the classy chic look. Earth/monochrom tone - brown, black, grey and white mostly with a touch of color (usually) red/gold somewhere!
