My Kind of R&R

Did you know that the earth is about 93 million miles away from the sun? Did you know that sea coral works as an antacid to the ocean because of its high calcium carbonate content?

Did you the population in India accounts for 17% of the total in the world? And that if 262,927,000 people held hands they could circle the world once?

Blueberry Chocolate Chip Muffin- Fluffy Vanilla Blueberry Egg White Pancakes Topped with Chocolate Chips and Banana Slices.

Did you know that Native Americans once used dried blueberries in a delicate honey pudding called "Sautauthig"? Or that blueberries have six times the amount of antioxidants than spinach?

Things to do- Make thank you tags, clothing clips and finish looking through the newest Anthro catalog. Done done and done.

I know I know probably much too early to be thinking so logical but bare with me. I promise I have a point! A couple days ago while writing my to do list I got frustrated with all the things needing to be done. I got so consumed by the thought of deadlines that it perpetuated into anxiety. Being that I was a ball of energy yesterday, thanks to every one's positive comments, I got all my work done and dabbled into a few of my favorite, but often pushed aside, things to do during the afternoon. Aside from the laundry and blogging I took some time for researching and reading; My kind of R&R.

Sometimes when it feels like too much is going on in my world its time for a reality check. And the only way I can put my life anxieties into perceptive is by reading things of greater meaning. Enter R&R. One hour later I snapped back into reality! There's a whole world out there, I'm not the only one and its not all about me! Humility is under rated my friends and brings such peace.

Humble Sofa Button Necklace-A collection of multicolored buttons from all eras showcased on a brass gold chain dangling from brown ribbon. Small vintage yellow baby's breathe wire weaved into buttons.

Which brings me to my positivity notes of the day....January 07 2010: 1.Being at peace with who I am, where I'm going and my surroundings is priceless. 2.The earth is so beautifully designed no wonder people try to capture it with art daily.3. If soggy cereal lived in the fashion world it would be the "new black". So addicting!

What do you do when your in need of a reality check? What is one positive thing you've found today? Dessert Week is still going strong with Eliza's beautiful inspired Carob Coconut Spice Cake Oats! Have you made a dessert for breakfast? Send me the link! xoxo

  13. Such a wonderful post! What a great way to destress, I never considered it before, but it does pull the attention from oneself! I like to take time to zone out when I'm stressed...cooking works well for this!

  15. I'm so happy to hear you took some time for yourself to just enjoy! I think we all need to remind ourselves to check in and really see how we are doing. If relaxation is what we need, then bring it on! When we come back to what we need to do, refreshment makes us stronger then ever.
I loved reading the trivia, too. Your post reminds me that we must nourish the mind AND body. We cannot have one without the other. They go hand-in-hand.
I hope you had a lovely day!

  18. Mooore facts! I love facts, I just wish that I could remember them. :(

I actually love to make to-do lists, they somehow make me get more things done than if I just kept the list up in my head.

When I need a reality check I talk to those that are close to me. Noone brings me back down to earth quicker than my brutally honest and opinionated friend. She'll yank you back to reality in no time. ;)

One positive thing I found today is that.. letting myself have the opportunity to fall in love, isn't such a horrible thing afterall.
