Carrot & Orange

Spring is coming! At least that's what I keep telling myself to get through the last of the wet weather. Isn't it funny that by the time fall comes around we are all so ready to trade our faded jean shorts and worn out flip flops for big red wool coats and cozy boots? But the second I see wildflowers popping up around the sidewalks I can't wait for warm weather! Thank goodness for seasons, right? This morning I was having spring fever so I put together my favorite warm weather breakfast..nothing like fresh juice from your own fruit trees. Yum!

Today's a super busy day for me..putting new things in my shop, going out to find more treasures and making a sweet potato BBQ dish tonight. I've been randomly craving barbecue sauce this whole weekend so I know I have to make some. Any recipes or ideas?

  1. Fresh fresh juice! You have orange trees, that's amazing! Over in England the first sign of spring is snowdrops, then daffodils when spring's really on it's way....I love crisp cold mornings most about spring:)
    Your shop must be such a fun project, although hard work.

  2. I can't wait for spring to come, just to be able to sit outside, not freezing all the time, soaking up the sun. And all those veggies and fruit,can't wait for them.
    Hm, roasted sweet potato with a bit of barbecue sauce for dipping? with some baked tofu. Simple, but delicious!

  5. There are so many things I love about spring, it's hard to pick just one! The longer days, the warmer weather, the brighter colors, Easter, the smell and sound of the rain... love spring :)

    your breakfast just screams SPRING!! :] i love it, i love carrot juice, its my favorite, even when i was really little! and that bagel looks perfectly delicious! i am starting to get pretty happy about the spring coming, although its not my most favorite month, i prefer the autumn and winter months, but i love how the sun goes down later into the day!...eating outside on our patio, my mom's Beautiful garden in our yard and all the gorgeous flowers, and fresh veggies and fruits she grows, and these past few days i have been waking up the sound of chirping birds, so lovely.

    my foavorite thing about Spring is the sun, hiking, the the sound of birds chriping outside my window. I also love when the sun just purs into a room and lights it up.

  12. That juice looks like a marvelous blend of fruit and veggies. Very revitalizing! Onion bagels remind me of my dad. Every single day, he has 1/2 one with the rest of his breakfast. He's kept that dietary habit up for the past decade. Some of us are just creatures of habit.... :)
