Beauty in the eye of the beholder

One glass of a Blueberry Beauty Smoothie with Plain Cinnamon Oats and Sunflower Butter

I love going through old achieves of my blog every so often; remembering a meal and the thought behind it is so inspiring...something I cherish. Looking through I remember the exact day I had this breakfast, a random warm winter day when I stayed up oh so late making sweet potato gnocchi from a ten year old recipe. Obviously I was a bit tired when the sun came out but I perked up when my eyes fixated on a package of raw cinnamon rolls and a jar of my mother's pumpkin date smoothie sitting on my door step. Such an amazing blend of dates, spices and pumpkin of course! Going by what I had this morning was a challenge but I wanted to put together a little breakfast like the one of old. I always forget how much I love green smoothies...I feel like a beauty when I drink them! And your eyes are correct I did just have plain oats. This is coming from a girl who use to eat raw oats by the handfuls so I guess its just something about the grain, its too good on its own! If your like me you'll love this raw oatmeal raisin cookie recipe..I honestly keep the dough always in the fridge. And before its forgotten I must share the ingredient list of my favorite smoothie..its taken a year or so to get it right but I finally did it..drink up beautiful!

Blueberry Beauty Smoothie:
  • 2 Cups Organic Spinach

  • 1/2 Frozen Banana

  • 1/2 Cup Frozen Blueberries

  • 1/2 Cup Almond Milk

  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Brown Rice Protein Powder

Add water if needed. Blend. Serve.

Among another things I think it would be fun to start a little "Whats on my table" post every so often..I have this thing that my design table needs to reflect a new mood weekly and its becoming quiet a little project of mine. Why not share it with you lovelies? This week a few things have been on my mind..

Figuring out what to do with an old peach bird poster I found in the back of my closet, collecting magazine pages of sea animal table wear for a potential tea party, wearing a pretty and modest high waisted vintage skirt, collecting electric rocks that catch my eye, drying flowers for more dusted tea rose sachet bags, and checking one item off my wish list.

I've been wondering what my readers would like to see...I know its spring break so the last thing some people probably want to do is read blogs..but for me I take this chance to indulge in a few of my favorite ones. 1,2, 3, 4. I guess blog reading is really a hobby of mine, it just puts me in awe how much talent there is in this world. So tell me what would you like to see more of? Any new ideas are welcomed! I'm off to make some of those oatty cookies xoxo Ps: Second chance!

  10. i'm intrigued by the sunflower butter. what are your thoughts? clearly, you like it seeing as you put it on your oatmeal. i'm a true peanut butter girl, but would like to give some of the other "nut" butters a try. :)
