Silly Things

Jasmine Tea Pearl Creamy Oats with Cinnamon and just picked Strawberries

Morning loves! Thank you for the encouraging words yesterday..sometimes those little notes carry me through another day..so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today the sunshine was out again and I had to take the opportunity to stare into the skies and just be thankful for having a peaceful life. No matter what illness prevails me having a roof above my head and a warm blanket to snuggle in..that's a blessing in itself. Another blessing was that my mother sent me some beautiful jasmine pearl tea blossoms last weekend. I've been going crazy over them thinking of how to infuse them into breakfast. It was a bit tough but I remembered a special drink I use to love when I was younger. A local shop would brew the pearls in hot water and some sugar then pour it over ice, add some tapioca boba balls and a dash of cream..it was basically my lunch every day in junior high...it was that good! These oats were exceptional as well with a dash of cream, cinnamon and fresh strawberries!

Quiet a random bunch of photos ahead but being stuck at home means finding things to keep occupied with like drying flowers..might sound silly but I've figured out the perfect combination to make my delicates smell heavenly..

Honeysuckle, orange blossoms, wild lavender and mint is the perfect combination! Isn't that picture grand? Its my family from the 1940s! If you look really close the doll in the middle is wearing a huge bow and polka dot dress :)

I stumbled around a bit yesterday and was quiet restless so I played around with some of my old pins...

I can't go a day without my mustard scarf and tan striped shirt..isn't that grand? Oh another thing I seem to need daily is plates of fresh produce and whats a better season then spring!

Organic Tomatoes, Marinaded Kale, Carrots and Cucumber topped with Sunflower Seeds, Organic Cheese and White Bean Hummus

And I believe no lunch is complete without something chocolate and green...

Another one of Betty Lou's amazing treats! A little chocolate bar of kale, broccoli and cashews...was the best "green" bar I've ever had! It wasn't over sweet by any means but the natural sweetness of the chocolate and cashews was perfect. I often get bars that taste too earthy, although I love my hemp milk, sometimes things dipped in chocolate need less earth to them, you know? But take my word for it..this was divine!

A couple days ago I went vintage shopping and found these lovely gems for my shop. How is it that everything I find I want to keep? Its awful and often times I have to talk myself out of stealing things from my shop...the bargain is produce for dinner or a new shirt? Hard question I know :)

Well I have to be attending to a little energetic pup and a raw dessert that includes a favorite autumn classic flavor. Can you guess?

What is one silly thing you do around your home to keep you occupied? I always find myself on the piano or reorganizing my closet. PS: Feeling much better today!

  9. One silly thing I do at home to pass idle time is sing songs from musicals I was once in. One minute I'm Chelsea, the next I'm Adelaide from "Guys and Dolls."

So sorry to hear you've been ill! I sincerely hope you feel better soon. 25 days is much too long to be under the weather. I must say, your perseverant spirit is really admirable!
