Rebecca was cool enough to come over to my place virtually for breakfast. Of course I was quiet the tragic mess running around the kitchen trying to find things such a lovely person would eat... But I think I managed to take her favorite Granny Smith Apple and Toast breakfast and put a spin on it. I baked a fresh picked gala apple with a mix of brown sugar, homemade granola, nuts and dates and served it with the best dough sprouted seed bread and green tea. The toast did the trick to sponge up all the brown sugary goodness once the baked apple was cut open. Nothing like a fall type meal in spring! Over tea we had a wonderful conversation and a little character came to visit as well....

Looking at your style it seems your aesthetic is very much nested in the lovely eras of the past. Would you say your food choices are as well?
Not totally, but I do have some old-fashioned sensibilities and like to make things from scratch or old family recipes. I do feel a bit outdated when I'll bring homemade fudge to a get-together and everyone else brought bags of chips...
Whats usual Rebecca morning meal look like?
I really like to eat a light breakfast, so it is usually predominantly fruit; a Granny Smith apple and maybe a small slice of homemade strawberry or banana bread is very typical.

So if you could have the ideal breakfast/brunch would would it consist of?
Because of my sweet tooth it would have to be crepes. I love them with Nutella and banana.

Me too! If you had a morning tea party and could invite one famous person, alive or not, who would it be?
Emily Dickinson, I think she would be a marvelous conversationalist and we're both shy and a bit reclusive, so I think we'd be comfortable with each other.

Lovely choice. Name one ingredient you couldn't live without.
Vanilla, I like the scent as much as I like the flavor it adds.

Ohh that was so fun! Thank you so much Rebecca for visiting My Breakfast Blog, it was a treat to meet you and make you breakfast! xoxo
