Vanilla & Cookies

I always feel like I leave so much up to mystery when I write. Your probably wondering what kind of tea I drink, favorite lip gloss flavor or magazines I buy. Or maybe you really could careless...no.....I think you care :) Nevertheless I have favorites. I have things I dream about at night. Things that wake me at three am just to hit the purchase button. That's what I feel I am forgetting to share with you all. I'd like to call this little segment...sweet things that I love. These are the items that cheer up my grey days, warm my heart and fill the nooks and cranny's of my pantry.

{Sweet things I love, November 23rd}

Through the weekend I've consumed nothing but cookies. Alright maybe the occasional salad or two but primarily these sweet treats. What happened to my days of healthy detox cleansing..oy! I suppose every woman has their phrases, right now mine is cookies and vanilla. Gimme vanilla coconut milk ice cream and cookie crumbles and I love you. Vanilla tea with cookie crepes? I am your girl. Nielsen-Massey's pure vanilla bean extract and Lucy's cinnamon raisin cookies? I will marry you.

I have this secret. I love baking and could bake for hours. I know I am not the only one that feels its probably the best way to relax. But I restrain all willpower to keep from baking since I feel like I need to try more things not necessarily made by myself. Have you see all the options of gluten free cookies today?! That's where these Lucy cookies come in. The lovely people from Dr. Lucy's Cookies sent me a care package filled with cookies..you should have seen my face! These were the cinnamon raisin ones - gluten free, crunchy and perfect to dip in almond milk. Only thing they probably were missing was some chewy element that usually goes along with raisin filled treats but other than that..Love! I'm an molasses kind of gal, what can I say?

What about the days I want to create my own treats? That is when I bring out the real deal -madagascar bourbon vanilla extract. Imagine the best kind of vanilla ice cream you've ever had and multiply that by five hundred..that is how this makes treats taste. I strolled over to the baking section of my farmers market and picked up this prince before I grabbed a bunch of goodies for the monkey bread I'm making these week. Amazing!

Can I be that obnoxious person that ushers you to your nearest grocery store to pick up new items that I feel you obviously can not live without? Yeah that's pretty much whats happening here.

Go get vanilla and cookies now. You'll thank me later.
